 Towanda Doula
Meg Robinson Doula and Childbirth Educator

TOWANDA

Join Meg's prenatal education classes to prepare for the empowering journey of childbirth. We'll discuss & cover various aspects of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care to ensure all your questions are answered! If you don't know what your choices are, you don't have choices!

Experience a creative collaboration, focused on developing a relationship with you that will prioritize curating my support for YOUR needs and desires for your birth. We'll create a plan based on your birth preferences. We'll also use this time to discuss postpartum and explore how you are feeling emotionally. I'll cover movement/positions that we might use during your birth, and we'll practice them to ease your body into knowing these comfort measures.

The Towanda Approach, as I call it, is inspired by the beloved movie Fried Green Tomatoes. Throughout the film, characters find their own self-trust and confidence by sharing their stories. I approach birthwork as a listener. Together, we'll create space for you to share your story and reclaim healthy self-trust in birth, because with self-trust comes knowing your needs and the ability to voice them.

Meg here! I'm committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. My goal is for you to think of me as less of an instructor and more as an uplifting confidant with access to relevant information! I believe information and openness build the utmost self-trust. Something I had to learn to build within myself with the right support, and how rewarding it has been!

Doulas can empower people to achieve the best birth outcomes possible, and all outcomes—for births, infants, and birth givers—seem to be affected more positively if support is provided by a doula in addition to the medical personnel.
