Resources & Reading Materials

*These are just a few of the resources we could potentially go over while working together. There is a vast amount of information accessible and part of my role is to collaborate to provide resources that are best fit for YOU!

BE MINDFUL: How do you know if a web site is reliable?

1. Check who is the author? Is this person a professional in the field, well respected, known? Or does this person/organization have an agenda? An ax to grind? Could this person's agenda be causing bias?

2. Are all the claims/statements backed up with research? Does the author share the source of information for each statement/fact/claim they are making? Are the information sources well recognized journal articles? Or is the author referring to a news article, or reposting another post? A great example of well referenced information is on the web site Evidence Based Birth.

Here’s a great article from DONA International to help you with determining the reliability of a source! https://www.dona.org/research/
